The little capsule doesn’t tell much. Well, except maybe the graphic design that went into it. It’s nubbad. Purdy enough.
My description isn’t going to be as flowery as theirs. See below below.
What I describe is just an honest, non-aficionado look into this little coffee. Best part is, it fits into my Nespresso machine. Those original Nespresso capsules can cost an arm and a leg, and one more leg.
Initial smell: Warm. Earthy. Could be my Korean clay cup giving me illusions.
Initial taste: Strange… I taste grapey grapes! We don’t eat licorice much here in Singapore. So I can’t compare.
Initial aftertaste: A bit candy-like. I still find that strange because this is a coffee, not Candy Empire. It’s not unpleasant. It’s not bitter and fermenty, so that aftertaste sits nicely on the tongue.
Drama, lah, this description from the makers of this capsule:
L’OR Espresso Forza is an intense and powerful roasted coffee blend. This magnificent, deep-roasted blend contains notes of oak and liquorice. These notes give way to a long, spicy aftertaste. L’OR Espresso Forza has a bold taste intensity with a powerful, fiery finish — contrasted with a delicate crema layer. You can lose yourself in its magnificent power — the unbridled power of purebred FORZA, a fiery, roasted, solid espresso blend. Blend core: Bold, Roasty, Spicy. Created by our L’OR Coffee Artists to express pleasure at its most powerful.
